10 Things I’m Loving Right Now

  1. These bow sandals! I wear them pretty much every day, they were an excellent $25 investment!
  2. Reagan really likes finding new places to sit, and it’s hilarious! Whenever we go to the park or go on walks she is more interested in sitting on everything than in playing. She also loves sitting on all the food shelves in the grocery store, turning what would be a quick trip into a 30 minute ordeal. Her current favorite spots are the chip aisle shelf at Wal-Mart, the steps leading to everyone else’s apartments, and the balance beam at the park.
  3. My Instant Pot! My awesome parents got me one as a combined Mother’s Day/Birthday present and I am so excited about it. The fact that I don’t have to start thinking about dinner starting in the morning takes a lot of stress away. So far we’ve made chicken cacciatore (in 15 minutes!) and shredded Mexican chicken (frozen solid, took 30 minutes). I’m super excited to try more recipes!
  4. Graphic tees. I posted this one on Instagram and just ordered a couple more from Thread Tank that I’m excited to show you guys! I can’t get enough of all the sassy ones, but I’m not really brave enough to wear them myself yet.
  5. MommyCon! If you are like me and hadn’t heard of MommyCon until like right now, you need to Google it and see if they’re coming to a city near you! It’s basically this huge event for new and expecting mamas with booths from every major parenting company and so many different products to learn about and try. I am so excited to attend MommyCon in Austin this year, if you are interested in going, use code CASEY17 for $5 off your ticket to any MommyCon 2017 event!
  6. These harem shorts from Simple Addiction. They are less than $10, have pockets, are super soft, and come in the funnest patterns. Seriously go buy them before they sell out! Use code Casey15 for 15% off 🙂
  7. The Magic of Motherhood. Holy smokes this is one of the best books I have ever read! I downloaded it to my Kindle to read at my doctor’s appointment and literally cried through the first half because it was SO good and SO accurate. This makes an excellent late Mother’s Day gift to oneself… 🙂
  8. Reagan started saying her name and it’s SO cute! She goes “Ray-gnnnnn” and she gets really excited when she’s able to say it.
  9. Zucchini brownies. I posted a recipe (find it here) and they are really a great way to satisfy a sweet tooth without consuming all the sugar and fat found in most treats. It’s really nice to have these on hand so I can eat one when I’m feeling the craving instead of going for the box of Chips Ahoy or the donut aisle at the grocery store.
  10. Spending every day outside. Luckily, the Texas summer hasn’t come yet so we have been outside everyday for at least a couple hours and it has been wonderful! We usually walk 1-2 miles in the morning, play at the playground, come home and nap, and then go for another walk around our apartment complex in the afternoon. It has been so fun just being outside and being comfortable, but I know this will be short lived so we are making the most of it!
