Balance of Nature Fruit and Veggie Capsules Review

This is an unbiased review of Balance of Nature vitamins. I received product for free but was not under any requirement to share my personal experience in this blog post. All opinions are my own.

With Thanksgiving coming up this week (that came out of nowhere!) I know a lot of us are focusing on food and diets, and maybe worrying about enjoying the holidays with the pressure to not over indulge. I’ve totally been there, and it can be stressful when there’s concern over what and how much you are eating.

My Background

For me personally, I stopped dieting years ago when I became pregnant with my first child. My views on food and health drastically changed and I shifted from cycles of indulgence and guilt to a healthy balance of enjoying all kinds of foods and making sure my body was fueled with what it needs. A couple of years later during my second pregnancy, I was diagnosed with numerous food allergies that again shifted the way I eat and view food.

Two years ago I cooked an entire Thanksgiving meal that was allergy friendly AND delicious, you can find those recipes HERE.

All of my food allergies prevent me from eating almost anything processed, meaning I eat a LOT of fruits and vegetables in my diet. Yet with all of the planning and pinning and effort to cook allergy friendly meals I still don’t get the recommended daily amount of fruits and vegetables in my diet!

Maybe you’re in one of the stages I described above, worried about overconsumption, struggling with diet restrictions, or trying your best but still not getting what your body needs. I find myself in the last group, and I wanted to share what has been helping me over the last 6 months to meet my nutritional needs in a #momlife friendly and sustainable way!

What are Balance of Nature Vitamins?

Balance of Nature fruit and veggie capsules are packed with real fruits and vegetables that are grown without GMOs or chemicals and picked at the peak of ripeness. Every edible part of the plant is utilized, flash dried to remove all water, leaving a powder that contains 31 different kinds of fruits and vegetables. The 16 different fruits and 15 different veggies are finely ground and then packed into vegetarian capsules and bottled for shipping. When you take the recommended 3 Balance of Nature fruit and veggie capsules per day, you are consuming 10 total servings of fruits and vegetables!

Capsules can be swallowed, broken apart and sprinkled into foods (more on that below!) or even chewed. The fruit capsules are sweet, and the vegetable ones sprinkled over foods add savory flavor to some of my favorite recipes.

How do they Work?

Here is a video that shows how Balance of Nature packs so much nutrition from so many different sources into tiny capsules that are convenient and simple additions to your meals.

Personal Experience

I started taking Balance of Nature vitamins several months ago and have had a very positive experience. Not only do they help me meet my nutritional goals, but since they are 100% fruits and vegetables they are safe to sprinkle into my kids foods and convenient for my busy husband to take on the go. Additionally, we are consuming tons of fruits and veggies that I don’t typically include in my diet. Balance of Nature fruit and veggie capsules contain the following foods: Aloe vera, apple, banana, blueberry, cherry, cranberry, grape, grapefruit, lemon, mango, orange, papaya, pineapple, raspberry, strawberry, and tomato and vegetables broccoli, cabbage, carrot, cauliflower, cayenne pepper, celery stalk, garlic, kale, onion, Shiitake Mushroom, soy bean, spinach, wheat grass, yam, and zucchini!

I am noticing a lot of health benefits while taking these vitamins as well. I am currently pregnant with my third child and having an easy way to fuel mine and my baby’s growing bodies has made a huge difference in how I feel this time around! This is also the first pregnancy where I haven’t had debilitating morning sickness…could be a coincidence but I’d like to think it’s because I’m taking care of my body too!

Ideas for Kids Meals

I like sharing how I incorporate these into my kid’s meals on Instagram, but if you are new to my blog here are some of my favorite ways to help my kids get some extra fruits and veggies!

Mac n’ cheese – I prepare their mac n’ cheese as normal and then sprinkle two veggies capsules into the cheese sauce prior to mixing in the pasta.

Spaghetti – similar to mac n’ cheese, I sprinkle two veggie capsules into the marinara sauce before mixing in the noodles.

Smoothies – my kids might be the only ones on the planet who don’t like fruit, but they will drink smoothies! I mix two fruit and two veggie capsules into their smoothies for an extra boost of nutrition.

Scrambled eggs – this one is a little trickier, but my kids don’t notice when I sprinkle one veggie capsule into their scrambled eggs. It does turn them a little green, so if your children are detail oriented they may notice!

Baked goods – it’s super easy to add these capsules to baked goods without changing the taste! Some of our favorites are chocolate chip muffins, banana bread and pumpkin bread.

Hard to be unbiased if you are receiving compensation for selling their products.

Not hard at all, I’ve been using these products for years and would recommend them regardless of my earning status with the company.

I have one major question that no one can answer. If there is nothing removed from the fruit and vegetables other than water, what happened to the calories? The pills show not calories in their disclosures. When you remove moisture you have concentrated sugar.

Oh strange! I’ve never had that issue, I just break open the capsule and gently shake until it’s empty.
