Who else’s kids have made up their minds about what they want to be for Halloween this year? Mine asked to be fairies and I immediately squashed all creative ideas from there on out because I can do fairy costumes! If you are a last minute planner or are looking for good and easy DIY halloween costumes, here are a couple ideas that we whipped up really quickly last week!
DIY Mouse Costume
These were so fun to do! I actually saw the cute beanies first and immediately thought of a mouse costume. Then we received these darling gray tutu dresses from B is for Briar and these black sparkly boots from FabKids completed the whole outfit! We added little pink construction paper noses, but drawn on whiskers would have been cute too!
DIY Bat Costume!
This is probably my favorite costume to date! I’ve wanted Momper Rompers since I first found her shop, and I was so excited when they came in! I was originally planning to turn these into witch costumes, but the fit of the romper screamed bat to me! (By the way, use code CASEYEANDERSON for $15 off!)
I made the masks from a template I found on Google! I printed them on white paper, traced them onto black poster board, then cut them out and attached string. Super easy!
The wings were easy too! I grabbed 4 yards of cheap black fabric from Hobby Lobby. Folded it in half and traced a bat wing pattern on the fabric, then cut it out. I hot glued hair ties to each end so we could slip these on our wrists and stay put.
These cute glittery felt bats are from Hobby Lobby as well, and I quickly hot glued them to some hair clips as an easy bow!
I will share the girls fairy costumes a little closer to Halloween, but I hope this gives you some DIY easy Halloween costumes ideas if you’re stuck!
