These cute girls got a surprise from their new friend Elf on the Shelf this weekend! This is our first year starting this tradition and while I have no expectation of moving our elf around daily (or even weekly!) I am excited to start something new as a family. We kicked things off in the best way with an Elf on the Shelf welcome back party thrown by our friend Lydia over at LydiaLouise.com, and I am excited to share the details with you today!
The girls were SO excited to learn more about their elf when they saw this setup! We read them the Elf on the Shelf book, and Reagan was especially intrigued by the little elf that reports back to Santa every night. The elf kept watch over the party from his seat on the chandelier, and we’re hoping the girls keep understanding that he’s untouchable!
The elf brought each girl a little gift with bath bombs, Frozen 2 character dolls, and lip glosses. They ate Christmas sprinkle pancakes, Elf on the Shelf cereal, and Christmas cookies from Target!
The plates and napkins were Elf on the Shelf themed and super cute! After their breakfast the girls each wrote a letter to Santa and dropped in a little mailbox. This age with them is so fun because they are starting to understand and enjoy all of the experiences that come with Christmastime as a child!
The girls had the best time at their Elf on the Shelf welcome back party today, and I loved seeing the magic of this season in their eyes. I can’t wait to continue this tradition and lots of others with them this year!
