Girl’s Night Christmas Pajama/Mocktail Party

Last week I hosted girl’s night at our house and it was so much fun! We have established a pretty good group of girlfriends here and it’s been really fun to get together every couple of weeks for a night out. Lately we’ve been staying in and doing potluck style dinners which has been a blast and a great way to have fun while saving money! For this girl’s night, I wanted to throw a Christmas pajama party with board games! We had a taco bar for dinner, and mocktails to sip on while we played. Our girl’s night Christmas pajama/mocktail party was exactly what I needed after a long week, here’s how to throw your own!

Ambience

All of my Christmas decor has been up for weeks, but the twinkle lights and greenery really set the mood for the evening. My decor is already very green and white, so I added tons of red (straws, drinks, plates, cups) to balance it out and make it feel more traditional!

This was my mocktail station! I converted our galvanized tray from a hot chocolate station to a mocktail station and I think I like it even more. Drink recipes are below!

Mocktails

I don’t drink alcohol, but I think it’s fun to have something besides water to sip on when you get together for a party! I had two different mocktail options, one is still nameless so you creative people help me out!

Sparkling Pom
Add equal parts of:
-Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry
-Sparkling grape juice
-Cranberry pomegranate juice
Then garnish with:
-orange slice
-lime slice
-sprig of rosemary

Mock Coke Sangria
Add equal parts of:
-Coca Cola
-Sparkling grape juice
-Cranberry pomegranate juice
-Apple cider
Then garnish with:
-orange slice
-lime slice
-sprig of rosemary

I honestly loved both of these but I think I’ll go back to the Sparkling Pom first!

Dinner + Games

For dinner we did a simple taco bar! I made this Instant Pot Mexican chicken recipe and provided tortillas, everyone else brought toppings and dessert. Super easy, quick, and who doesn’t like tacos?!

We wanted to play fun and easy games that can fit in with conversation, and Cranium was the winner! Other games that would work well could be Catchphrase, Heads Up (an app!) or Taboo.

Party Favors

A fun little touch that I added was gifting everyone a pair of slipper socks from Old Navy when they arrived! These go on sale all the time and I grabbed them for $2 a pair, making them a cute, practical and affordable party favor!

This was such a fun gathering and I hope to make it an annual tradition with our friend group! If you haven’t had a girl’s night in before, it’s super easy and I highly recommend giving it a try!
