Kidloland App Review!

Reagan is a mama’s girl through and through! Between Jared and I, she always prefers me holding her, feeding her, bathing her, changing her, etc etc etc. While I absolutely LOVE how much she loves me, being the preferred parent can get really tiring! Some days I would really just love to be able to relax on the couch and eat a snack without Reagan crawling full speed ahead towards me, worried that I might abandon her in the next five seconds. On particularly difficult days, I go hours on end walking back and forth in our small apartment holding Reagan because I’m not allowed to put her down. Try doing that while there’s a sink full of dishes. no food in the fridge, and toys everywhere. I needed a way to keep Reagan occupied that was beneficial to her so I could get things done around the house (and I dunno, take a shower?).

When Kidloland reps reached out to me about trying their app with Reagan I was very excited to see what was special about their product as compared to other kids learning apps. I was blown away! We’ve been using the app for a month now and still haven’t gone through most of the content.

Things I love:

-This is geared towards children from 1-5 years. There are interactive nursery rhymes for younger kids, lessons about the alphabet and numbers, games about occupations, seasons, vehicles, animals, food groups, shapes, colors, months and days, and that isn’t even all of it.

-Going along with the above–there is SO much content! Reagan is too young for most of the really interactive activities, but in the nursery rhymes section alone there are dozens of songs and stories for her to listen along to.

-This keeps Reagan entertained–I installed the app on my phone and as soon as I get it out Reagan gets so excited and starts nearly jumping up and down until I hand her my phone. She loves tapping on the screen and seeing the animals make noises! As soon as one rhyme finishes she hands me the phone so I can start another for her, and this is the only way I can be sure that I’ll finish putting all the laundry away or get the dishes done all in one sitting!

-Works on either Android or Apple, and on tablets. I downloaded this on my iPhone and iPad, but Jared can download it on his Android for when he watches Reagan at night.

This weekend, Reagan and I took a short trip out to Arizona to visit my family. This was my first time flying with her by myself and I was a little nervous about keeping her happy and occupied even during the short flight. I was SO glad I had this app for this trip! It kept her interested and engaged when she tired of her other toys and left me relaxed knowing that she was taken care of.

Thanks for stopping by! What are some of your favorite kids learning apps or T.V. shows?
