Maui Part II

We really didn’t do much in way of exploring the island, our resort was so cool that we just hung out there all day and had a blast! In addition to having the beach at our front door, we had access to two resort pools and five additional resort pools at the timeshare property next door. The pools had water slides, underground caves, waterfalls, and so many more fun things for Reagan (and us!) to enjoy and as a preferential pool baby (Reagan isn’t a fan of sand) we spent the majority of our time there.

One thing we really enjoyed doing outside of the resort was exploring downtown Lahaina. There are tons of cute tourist shops on Front St. where we got souvenirs for everyone and where we would hang out on the windy days. Theres also a banyan tree that was planted hundred of years ago and is now massive! There’s a little bit of history there as well in the old courthouse and museum and it was fun learning a little bit about old Hawaii.

We found some really fantastic (and affordable!) places to eat that I’ll talk about in a later post, but I’ll just say that Hawaiians know how to make really delicious food!

The sunsets were so beautiful on the clear days and I loved sitting on the beach alone after Reagan had gone to bed to just enjoy them. Maui is so relaxing and it was the perfect way to unwind after a busy day.

On our way to the airport to go home, we stopped by I’ao State Park which was so amazing! It was deep in the jungle and the most green place I’ve ever seen. We just barely missed the rain so we had the park pretty much to ourselves! More details on that later!

Be on the lookout for my posts detailing the sights and restaurants we went to, and the best way to enjoy Maui with a baby!
