I like to keep things honest over here, so I thought it would be entertaining to share some of my best mom fails from the last couple of weeks with y’all! I hope you enjoy this unfiltered look into my life, and feel free to share which ones you’ve done before too (ya know, to make me feel better!)
- Elliott only got two baths this week, and she took a little swim during both of them.
- Elliott was laying down on my lap with her head tilted back. I saw a little booger so I picked it out of her nose and it fell backwards into her eye.
- When opening Reagan’s car door for her, I was a little too strong and whacked her in the head.
- While trying to sneak some chocolate chips from the pantry without being noticed, I knocked over the bag and spilled them all over the floor. And Reagan probably ate 20 because I couldn’t clean them up fast enough.
- I forgot to brush Reagan’s teeth in the morning 4 out of the last 7 days.
- Somehow, Reagan’s car seat became unlatched from the anchors and I didn’t notice for who knows how long. Probably at least a week.
- Reagan and I jammed out to “Sexyback” to get a sleepy Elliott to calm down in the car.
- I let Elliott try chocolate cake, ice cream, french fries, and a chocolate chip cookie
- I told Reagan she couldn’t eat my pancakes because she’s allergic and it would make her sick.
- I typed in the wrong address for our lake day last week which added an additional 30 minutes to our already long drive. Elliott was crying because she was tired (skipped two naps) and Reagan was crying because Elliott was crying.
And all this in the last 2-3 weeks! It’s pretty amazing that I can keep these tiny tornados alive, so I enjoy looking back on the not so awesome moments for a good laugh every now and then. Feel free to share your recent mom fails below!
Oh love that sounds so tough. Motherhood is tough. Those who haven’t one it in a while forget. I have such a gap with two boys I literally am learning all over again. Lol
Thanks for the blog and the transparency it helps me feel less alone as I too have many mom fails.
