Does anyone else start getting antsy this time of year?!
With the long winter days and the gloomy weather and not leaving the house I get super itchy to throw everything in my house away and start fresh. Since that’s not really a financially wise decision, here are some of my tried and true ways to freshen things up and make small changes that have a big impact!
New Soap // I don’t know about you but new soap scents bring me joy! I use these foaming soap dispensers and essential oils to make my own soaps and change the scent based on the season or what I’m feeling like! Find my super easy DIY recipe here.
Indoor Plants // I love using indoor plants to change and freshen things up in my house! This faux fiddle leaf fig for under $40 will forever be one of my favorite home decor purchases, and it shops for free with Amazon Prime 2 day shipping!
Different Pictures // Changing up the pictures in frames you have around the house can make a big impact! Plus it’s fun to update them as kids grow up and new memories are made. This set of frames is a great deal on Amazon and comes with a super easy template for hanging on the wall!
Rugs // Area rugs can get really pricey, but there are lots of good options for around $60! The one above can be found HERE, a solid shag option that comes in 21 different colors can be found HERE, an oriental option HERE, and a traditional vintage rug in 11 different colors (and only $50!) can be found HERE!
Updated Planters // To go with your new greenery, pick up some fun new planters! This hanging 3 tier planter is only $20 and would look great in a kitchen or bathroom!
I also love this modern plant stand that comes in three different colors and is only $26!
Pillow Covers // Probably the easiest way to make a big difference in your home is changing out pillow covers! I love the above pictured neutral four pack, this buffalo check patterned two pack in 28 colors, this adorable velvet pom pom set, and this super cute Spring time four pack for only $13!
So before you decide that nothing in your home sparks joy anymore, consider trying a few of these tricks to making your home feel new at an affordable price!
