Toddler Halloween Party!

I have always wanted to throw my girls a Halloween party and this was the year it finally happened! We actually didn’t plan this very well at all, I texted my friend Lydia over at Lydia Louise Blog on Sunday night and asked if she’d be up for hosting a toddler Halloween party on Monday morning. Luckily she’s super easy going and was into the idea!

Since we had about 12 hours to prepare, we kept things pretty simple and shopped Party City and Target for all the party items. The rest of the decor came from Lydia’s Halloween stash!

This little craft (courtesy of Ashlee from Mama in the Desert Blog) was really cute and the girls loved it! They took little brown treat bags, glued on a cutout ghost, eyeballs, and these little fake spiders and tied a bow around the top! They loved seeing these come to life and filled them with some cute little treats.

Food and Drink Recipes

mummy hot dogs

We started off by feeding the girls these cute mummy dogs for lunch! Just take mini hot dogs, wrap crescent dough around, and add candy eyeballs. Big hit all around!

Believe it or not, these biscuit looking things started out as sugar cookies! Somehow we messed up the dough and they came out giant and lumpy. A quick drizzled icing and candy eyeballs brought them back to life and they still tasted like sugar cookies!

These drinks were super festive and Reagan was a BIG fan. They’re just vanilla ice cream with orange soda on top, a Halloween float!

We took a sharpie to some simple orange cups to make cute jack-o-lanterns and the girls loved it! Just another way to add a festive touch for basically free.

gluten free donuts

These donuts are gluten free, dairy free, apple cinnamon donuts and they are BOMB. I highly recommend following this recipe and grabbing these donut pans from Amazon to make the whole process easy!

Mummy Mason Jar Craft

This was another super sweet and easy craft! We took mason jars and the girls wrapped white lacey ribbon around them to look like mummys and added colorful googly eyes. When we got home I lit a little tea light and they loved seeing their spooky craft come to life!

This toddler Halloween party was really fun and the girls had a blast! It was low key and simple, and despite all the baking fails there was plenty of yummy food. It was a good reminder that things don’t always have to be Pinterest perfect to be festive and fun for everyone involved. Next up, a toddler Thanksgiving party!!
