34 Week Bumpdate!

Happy bump day! I started a pregnancy journal (super late, I know) and I want to incorporate these bumpdates into that so I’m going to try and do a few more these last few weeks! We are just over a month away from meeting our baby girl!

How far along: 34 Weeks! I’m expecting to be induced around 39 weeks, which means we only have 5 weeks to go!

Favorite Moments: We bought a car seat this week! It was the first (and probably only) big purchase we made for this baby and it is so fun seeing it all set up and imagining bringing a baby home in it in just a few weeks! I also started packing my hospital bag and this cute labor gown from Kindred Bravely got me all excited to go into labor 🙂

Feeling: Excited! A lot of the aches and pains I was experiencing went away this week, so I’ve been able to focus more on the positives of the third trimester and soaking up these last few moments as a family of three.

Eating: Lots of sweets, but it was my birthday this week so I’m giving myself a break!

Gender: GIRL GIRL GIRL

Weight Gain: About 30 pounds. I’m definitely feeling really big, and I’m a little terrified that this baby is going to be 10 pounds. Jared and I were both over 9 pounds so I wouldn’t be too surprised!

Cravings: Nothing much! I do want chocolate a lot and I’m still having an aversion to red meat.

Missing Anything: Moving around easily, sleeping through the night without having to pee, having any sort of lung capacity, running!

Aches and Pains: My back pain has all but disappeared! So I’m feeling really good right now. I’m pretty tired and everything is heavy but those are very normal third trimester symptoms. I get the occasional Braxton Hicks contraction but those aren’t bad either, so I’m pretty happy with where things are right now!

Clothes: I wear the same pair of jogger sweats and tee shirt 95% percent of the time because none of my other clothes fit lol. When I do have to leave the house I throw on a maternity dress but those are starting to really stretch so we’ll see how long they last!

Exercise: Rolling over, getting off the couch, carrying a toddler everywhere, walking up the stairs to our apartment, getting into the car…

Looking Forward to: Meeting baby girl! I can’t believe we’re so close, it seems surreal but I’m so excited to bring her into this world.
