Galvanized Tiered Tray Hot Chocolate Station

hot chocolate station

I have this galvanized tiered tray that I mean to decorate for all the seasons, but somehow I only get around to it during Christmas! Last year I made a cute little hot chocolate station, and I loved it so much I decided to try to replicate it again this year. My friend Lydia styled her galvanized tray for the holidays too, (you can see it HERE) and here are the details on my galvanized tiered tray hot chocolate station!

First things first, find a good galvanized tray! I grabbed mine on Hobby Lobby but HERE is another option that would work well.

Tips for Styling

Play Around with Different Heights – Mix taller items with shorter pieces, and use blocks or upside down cups to add height to short items. Vary tall and short items on all the trays for a more cohesive look!

Use Greenery to Fill Gaps – In between your items, place greenery or other seasonal floral stems to fill in the gaps. Mix it up with different shades of green or pops of color in between greenery.

Lots of Color – Since galvanized metal makes a neutral statement on it’s own, try incorporating more color than you might typically use! For this hot chocolate bar I displayed a Santa mug (similar one HERE), bright red spoons, and classic candy canes!

Add Seasonal Trinkets/Decor – Bottle brush trees are having a MAJOR moment, so I grabbed a few from the dollar spot at Target to add some softer texture to the metal and glasses (find them on Amazon HERE). I also added a couple cute snow covered birdhouses to break up all the cool colors and add some warmth!

This makes me so happy to see every time I walk through the front door, and I’m so excited to use and enjoy it all season long! I hope these tips are helpful for you in decorating your own galvanized tiered tray hot chocolate station this season!
