I think it’s no secret that I’m a diaper bag hoarder. I used to be a purse addict but now that I don’t use those as much I just want alllllll the diaper bags! Over the last couple of years I have heard so many good things about Lily Jade, I knew I wanted to try one for myself and review it for all of you! I am so excited to introduce you to the Lily Jade Madeline.
THINGS I LOVE:
Versatility – this bag can be worn on the shoulder, as a crossbody, or as a backpack. I like that you can switch between the handbag and backpack without having to adjust the straps, some diaper bags you have to stick with one or the other! The backpack carry on this style is a bit wide which I had to get used to, but the Lily Jade website has a feature where you can see how each bag will fit you which is helpful if that is a concern!
Quality – Lily Jade makes their bags with all real leather, so this is a top notch, high quality bag! It feels (and smells) luxurious and you can tell just by holding it that it’s different from other diaper bags. These are made to last, and I know that mine will last far beyond the baby years and I look forward to using this as a purse for years to come! Hardware is something I pay a lot of attention to with my diaper bags, because I want something that will hold up after lots of use and won’t get stuck or caught easily. The zippers on this bag are very smooth and sturdy, and I haven’t had any issues with them yet!
Pockets Pockets Pockets – oh my gosh you can never have too many pockets! I love that the Madeline has three front panel pockets and small zippered pouches on the front flap and the rear panel. I need my diaper bag to be super organized so I can find things quickly, so having lots of little pockets where I can stash things is very important to me. Every Lily Jade also comes with an insert, and I’ll talk more about that below!
Lily Jade Insert – each diaper bag comes with an insert that is amazing at keeping your bag organized! I love that this can be removed when you just want a purse, or when you drop your kids off at grandma’s you can leave the insert instead of the whole bag. There are pockets everywhere, and they’re actually big enough to hold large sippy cups or bottles, changing pads, numerous diapers and wipes, snacks, and all of mom’s stuff as well. The insert slides in and out easily, so you don’t have to struggle with fitting everything in the bag. I love that the jade color gives your bag a fun little pop too!
Classic – these bags aren’t trendy, they are incredibly classic and will be in style for years and years and years. I know that my Madeline will be my go to bag for a long time, and I get excited to use it as a purse on those rare occasions when I’m kid-less!
The one thing about Lily Jade bags is that they are pricey. You can always shop sales but expect to pay at least $300 for one of their bags. That being said, you get what you pay for, and if you want a bag that will last you long after the diaper bag days then this is an obvious choice. I think you have to view a purchase like this as if you were buying a designer bag (think LV, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors) all of which are in the same price range, but are less functional. If you are in the market and your budget allows, then this is an excellent investment to make!
Since Lily Jade is based in San Antonio, I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with them last week and to meet the owner and founder of the company. I have to tell you, my love for this brand skyrocketed after meeting Meggan. We were complete strangers, and yet I felt so much love and kindness from her like nothing I’ve ever experienced! She is hands down the sweetest person I’ve ever met, and you can tell her whole mission is to empower women from all walks of life and give them the tools necessary to succeed. In a world that gets easily caught up in greed and vanity it was refreshing to meet someone who genuinely loves making a difference without thought of gain for themselves.
The Madeline is the only style of bag from Lily Jade that I have tried, but I love the look and function of it so much that I just ordered another one in the green color. The Madeline is their top seller, and I just love the sleek and classic look of it! Loved my bag until 3 months into using the zipper broke…… can’t be used as backpack without a working zipper! Nor should you have to with that price tag$$$. Customer service has been unresponsive and have ignored my pleas for help. Supposed to have a 1yr warranty. But none will respond. Very surprised given the luxury price tag of this item. Faulty products and non-existant customer service. Would not recommend unless you are prepared to throw your money down the drain.

The Megan lilyjade diaper bag is a dream come true!! It has everything a mom would love and more! I love all pockets, you simply can’t live without them!! I love the color of the insert. I love how you can just pull it out unpack and repack it again. Plus if it gets dirty you can simply wash it and it’s as good as new if not more than that.
It has been my dream to have a Lily Jade bag. I love how the insert can be taken out easily and washed. I also carry so much stuff so a Lily Jade sounds just right for me. I really wonder how it smell in person.
Hi guys! I’m a mother of almost 2 kiddos!! I absolutely love my lilyjade bag! I have the Megan in Carmel and wouldn’t change it for the world. I love that I can pull out the organizer anytime of day and repack it when I need to. I also love all the pockets. They are convienet to have and can’t live without them. I recommend the Megan bag it’s a bit bigger than the Madeline although I love her too.
I love how you are rockin Lily Jade with matching shoes. So Awesome to hang on to style while still being a busy Mom too.
