Hey everyone! Welcome to my new site, Collectively Casey!
Why did I change my site? When I first launched my blog six months ago, I had no idea how to build a website and what sort of apps and plug ins I would need to be able to run a successful blog. I set up Le Casual Chic with Wix.com which allowed me to get a site up and running quickly, with pretty much no experience necessary. I loved my site, but I didn’t want to pay the annual fees that Wix charges so I knew I would eventually switch over to WordPress.
While trying to decide when the best time to switch would be, I was also trying to come up with a new name for my blog. I originally thought I would be more of a fashion blog but as it turns out, I love writing about motherhood way more! I still try to incorporate some fashion posts, but since it isn’t the focus of my blog I knew I wanted to change my name to something that better reflected my content.
As my blog started gaining popularity and my page views really started rising, I knew I needed to make these changes sooner rather than later! I came up with my new blog name, got to work on figuring out WordPress, and started the slow process of moving all of my blog posts over to this new site. It has been such a learning experience, but I finally feel like I’m ready to launch this new project!
Why Collectively Casey? Like I mentioned, I wanted the name of my blog to better reflect what I like to write about. My favorite topics are motherhood/pregnancy, travel, and recipes. This is a true lifestyle blog because it follows the day to day activities of my life. It is everything that I’m experiencing and discovering, and all the things I want to share with you!
