Best Apps for Moms

For some reason, I’ve really boycotted the idea of using apps to help organize my life…until recently! I guess I thought it would be easier to handle everything on my own and just plug different things into my phone calendar, but after having a second baby, enrolling a toddler in preschool and dance class, and starting a small shop things got too complicated and busy for my poor mom brain!

I’ve tried and tested lots of different organizing and planning apps, and I have found the ones I like the best! I thought it would be fun to share those with you, since they truly 100% have made my life much easier over the last several months!

I will say that I like to have everything in one place, so this list is short but covers everything I need in an easy to manage and easy to find way!

1. Mealime: You have probably heard me rave about this app on my Instagram stories lately, and it is such a game changer! A lot of you have downloaded it and messaged me that you love it as much as I do! Mealime is a meal planning app, but it offers super customized meal options that work for anyone. Since I have so many allergies, it’s really difficult to find meals that I can eat on Pinterest that are also good and my kids will eat. But on this app, you can specify allergies, dietary preferences (Paleo, Keto, Vegan, etc.) and you can list different foods that you dislike. The app gives you dozens of meal options that fit your preferences, you add them to your weekly meal plan, and it generates an inclusive shopping list for everything you need for the week! It takes me about 5 minutes to meal plan, and I can easily add or take away from the shopping list it creates for me!

2. Famtastic: I downloaded this app originally to use as a shopping list, but I like the Meal Lime one better so decided to save this app for when my kids are a little older. Famtastic is cool because each family member has their own calendar, budget and chore list in their individual profile that can be managed by mom or dad! It’s a great way to give older kids accountability, and to keep everyone’s schedules in one place.

3. Bulldog Yoga: I love this app because of the variety of yoga workouts it offers. There are classes for beginners all the way up to experts, there are short classes and full length classes, and everything can be done in home. This is my most used exercise app right now, and I love the convenience of it! They offer a 30 day free trial, so you can really get a feel for it before wholly committing!

4. Juxtaposer: You know how we joke about taking 100 pictures and only getting 1 decent one? Well sometimes I don’t even get 1 decent one, which is where this app comes in handy! It allows you to super easily face swap on your photos, making taking pictures of more than one kid much easier! I used this to face swap Elliott’s face on our Christmas cards, and you can’t tell unless I point it out! I think it’s $2.99 to purchase, and well worth the cost.
