Disneyland girls trip

We got back from our Disneyland besties trip last week and I can honestly say it was the best Disney trip we have ever taken! There was laughter, tears, meltdowns, dance parties, matching outfits, princess hugs, new friend, and so many memories made. I know I threw a lot of information at you about this trip on Instagram, so I wanted to hop on to give a comprehensive Disneyland besties trip recap blog post going over everything about our trip!

Day One

Day one at Disneyland was our Mickey and Minnie Mouse day! We woke up extra early to get to the park by rope drop (the ropes drop when the park officially opens every day!) and had a very full ad very productive day. The parks were surprisingly uncrowded all week long, so we were able to do almost everything that Disneyland has to offer!

Highlights:
-Doing 16 rides/attractions!! Considering the size of our group, this is a big accomplishment!
-Watching the Beauty and the Beast storytelling show. This was the first time we did this and it was so cute! It’s a quick 20ish minute show in the shade, and the girls loved meeting Belle after!
-Taking Reagan on her first big kid ride, Big Thunder Mountain! She loved it and it was really cool experiencing that with her.
-After we got off It’s a Small World, a cast member came up to my girls and asked if they had met Minnie Mouse yet. They said no, so the cast member walked us over to Minnie’s house and took us through the exit to skip the line and meet Minnie! It was really neat to experience a little magical moment thanks to a sweet cast member!

Day Two

Day two was our princess and villain day! We started putting these outfits together months ago, and they were my favorite to plan and wear! My girls and I were Snow White and the Evil Queen, Lydia and her girls were Aurora and Maleficent, and Erin and her kids were Ariel, Flounder, and Ursula. We had so many comments on the girl’s dresses this day, and it’s easy to see why! They are all unique styles and handmade by one of our favorite makers, her shop is linked below.

Highlights:
-Doing a whopping 20 rides/attractions!
-My mom and brother met us at the park and we all did the new Millenium Falcon Smuggler’s Run ride together! My mom stayed with all the sleeping kids at night so us moms could stay out late to watch the parade and light shows!
-A friend I went to high school with, who also has kids the same ages as mine, drove up and spent the day with us!
-Being asked on multiple occasions if the three of us were triplets/sisters, and being asked if the unrelated kids were twins/siblings.
-Every time Elliott met a princess, she walked up and gave them the BIGGEST hug and wouldn’t let go. It was absolutely something I will never forget!

Outfits:
Mom’s villain tees // CandEsCreations, she’s local to Vegas too!
Mom’s villain ears // Park Vibes Apparel Co

Girl’s dresses // Shop Everest Moon Handmade – she killed these designs and I am so happy with them!

On our way out of the park, the girls spotted Mickey on Main Street and demanded that we go say goodbye. I am so glad we stopped because it was the sweetest way to end our three day long visit!

I have talked about Jingles the horse on previous posts, but was surprised that when we were the last ones to get on this ride that Jingles was available! This is a very special horse and I love seeing my girls ride it!

I mean, can you EVEN. The whole line of guests waiting to get this photo op was oohing and ahhing over the girls hugging and smiling for this picture!

Day Three

We were so sad to see our friends go on day three, but we were lucky enough to have another half day at the parks to ourselves! Our day started over at California Adventures, and once again I was shocked at how empty the park was. We walked onto all the rides, wandered around Pixar Pier, and watched Mickey’s Philharmagic in an empty theater!

Highlights:
-Walking onto every.single.ride! It was so relaxing and calming to not stress about finding the shortest lines, or missing out on something by walking a little slower or letting the kids pick what ride to do next.
-Meeting Anna and Elsa! We have never done this because the line can be over an hour long, but we only waited about 20 minutes! The girls were so excited and Elliott keeps asking to watch their meeting video over and over again.
-Stalking, and finally running into the Evil Queen! She was so fun to watch!
-Watching Elliott give Mickey Mouse kisses on the nose as the last thing we did before leaving the park. Cue heart melting!

Outfits:
My tee // Exclusive Allure
My ears // Evil Queen Supply Co – I had 10-12 people stop me in the park to ask about these ears! And almost every cast member/line worker/character complimented them. They are super unique and probably my favorite pair!
Fanny pack // State bags

Reagan’s dress // Papper Apparel
Elliott’s dress // Shop Everest Moon Handmade
Elliott’s moccasins // Freshly Picked (use code FPxCaseyAnderson for a $10 credit when you enroll in the Fringe program!)
Reagan’s Minnie Mouse shoes // Amazon

Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post, this was honestly the most fun Disneyland besties trip we could have ever imagined! Having six kids definitely felt more like having sixteen kids, but it was so fun doing almost everything Disneyland has to offer during our three day visit! Even though it is crazy hot this time of year, I think that September is the best month to visit the parks. Everyone has started school and vacations are over so the parks are virtually empty and the wait times are crazy low. We will definitely be making this an annual thing!
