Overnight Oats–Gluten Free & Dairy Free

If you haven’t tried overnight oats yet you are seriously missing out! They are ooey gooey deliciousness that can be served hot or cold, and they are a protein packed grab and go breakfast that everyone loves! The flavor possibilities are basically endless, and you can get lost scrolling Pinterest for recipes.

Since we’re gluten free and dairy free, I make mine a little differently than most but they are just as good as the dairy options!

For the base:
-1 cup oats
-1 cup coconut milk (or almond milk!)
-1 tbsp honey (I recommend a local, raw, organic kind from your farmer’s market)
-1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)

Once you have your base you can add whatever mix ins that you want! Here are three of my favorite combinations!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana:
To the base, add:
-1 scoop chocolate protein powder
-1 tbsp nut butter of choice, we use sun butter!
-1/2 banana, mashed or sliced

Shake well and refrigerate for at least 8 hours! Enjoy cold or warm up in the microwave.

Blueberry Lemon:
To the base add:
-1 tbsp lemon juice
-1/4 cup blueberries

Shake well and refrigerate for at least 8 hours! Enjoy cold or warm up in the microwave.

Strawberry Banana:
To the base add:
-1/3 cup sliced strawberries
-1/2 sliced or mashed banana

Shake well and refrigerate for at least 8 hours! Enjoy cold or warm up in the microwave.
