Reagan’s Big Girl Room Reveal!

This room was a looooong time in the making but I’m really happy with how it turned out! In our old apartment the girls were half sharing a room, so it’s been fun to give them each their own space and decorate them differently based on their personalities.

This bedroom is pretty tiny, so I didn’t want to fill it up with things that would just end up all over the floor. And since we’re renting, I’m trying to keep as much stuff off the walls as possible. By utilizing dresser space and keeping wall decor minimal, I was able to achieve the look I was going for while keeping things simple!

Deets:

Bedding:
Reagan’s bedding is from Beddy’s Beds and this company created a product that all moms need! Her comforter literally just zips onto her sheets, so making her bed is a breeze! Her bed has never been made regularly (she’s a major blanket hoarder) so my OCD is definitely appreciating this change. It’s also super easy for her to do, and she likes helping and the responsibility of making her bed. The underside of the comforter is a really soft minky, and it makes all her cozy dreams come true.

Rug:
This rug is from RugsUSA and everyone on Instagram helped me pick it out! I was torn between getting a neutral rug or something colorful and patterned and I’m sooooo happy I went with this option! The different colors mean I can change up the rest of the room decor later on, and I love the statement it makes as soon as you walk into the room. It’s also super soft, and she frequently asks to sleep on the floor instead of in her bed haha.

Furniture:
Reagan’s dresser is a hand me down, and is actually the first piece of furniture my parents bought when they found out they were pregnant with me! It used to be royal blue, but I painted it white and sprayed the handles (I know I’m missing one) gold. I love the sentimentality of it, and obviously the storage is great. I use these drawer dividers from IKEA to keep her clothes organized, and that has been a lifesaver!

I found this little bench at Goodwill (shocking, I know) for $3.50 and knew I had to get it. It could use a paint touch up, but for now it sits in this little corner where Reagan reads books during quiet time or before bed.

I found this bed frame on Facebook marketplace for $10 as a quick solution. It’s not what I originally had in mind, but it’s a solid bed that I can paint or upgrade later on when we have the budget for the bed I want (hello trundle day bed!)

Stuffed animal basket is another Goodwill find, but Hobby Lobby frequently has ones similar to this for 50% off! Just check their weekly ad and go in when you see the sale, I got one last month for only $8!

Decor:
The wool tapestry is a favorite of mine and is from Little Weave Bird. It’s so soft and I always get compliments on it! The Love You sign is from Hobby Lobby, and so is the pillow on the little bench.

Sorry not very much of that is linkable, you guys know how much I love a Goodwill find! It feels so good to have another room completed in the house, I’m excited to tackle the bathrooms next!
